Hostaway is a vacation rental software company that helps property managers run their property management business with ease. My job as an art director was to create the visual brand across all platforms and media.
A new brand for a startup making its entrance in the vacation rental industry — As the art director, I helped them build from scratch, a brand and site experience that elevate their offer and their story.
Hostaway is a Canadian company with Finnish roots and with that in mind, I came up with the concept of combining Scandinavian patterns with flat iconography.
Throughout the website, you will see a series of icons and colour palettes that are introduced to make the site meet the WCAG standards. The visuals and tone of the website also suggests a more informal and friendly tone. I also made sure the site was entirely responsive and could provide the same experience you get on the web.
The newly developed visual brand is also carried over to our social platforms.
The Hostaway Youtube channel was lacking content and the was first of many How-To series. The video used to serve the on-boarding team as well as help promote new features.
The guide was created for the purposes of getting more leads through our social platform. The visual style of the e-book still carries the Hostaway brand but with a more cleaner look, almost like a high-end travel and lifestyle magazine.
When an organization grows, the core values change to accommodate the diversity of the team members. With the core values refined by the ELT, canvas and posters were made to hang in the offices around the world.
A holiday card made just for Hostaway. An illustration of a cozy winter and a cottage with flags of Canada, Finland and Spain, where all our offices are.
