Vena Solutions is a CPM SaaS company that turns Microsoft Excel into an enterprise-class business solution with a centralized database, workflow and more. Vena is located at the heart of Liberty Village in downtown Toronto.
VenaNola (now knowns as Vena Nation) was Vena’s first users’ conference and it was important to clarify the brand’s positioning and the loyal customers they serve.
My role as art director helped brand Vena as a legitimate contender in the CPM space. This led to growth in customer satisfaction, pride and loyalty.
New Orleans, nicknamed “Big Easy” is known for its round-the-clock nightlife, vibrant live-music scene and spicy, singular cuisine reflecting its history as a melting pot of French, African and American cultures. It was important to express this and after hours of branding sessions, I was able to define it by combining the Vena primary and secondary colour palette. This decision later influenced future branding, positioning the company's music loving and vibrant values.
The Vena Nation brand and website were created 2 weeks prior to launching. I was able to pull this off with the help of the content team and the event manager. We wanted to capture the look and feel of New Orleans by using more of the Vena secondary colour palettes.
Some of the logo concepts that got close but never made it to the final round. There were a few dozen more that were cut due to the name change.
